How Wealthy Am I Really?

Anyone would be lying if they claimed they had never wondered how wealthy they are. What is wealth? But before the question can be answered, everyone has to decide for themselves how they define wealth. For some, it is very important to have freedom and make their own decisions. For others, wealth means owning many luxurious material things and showing them off to society. Someone else defines their wealth as having a family and being able to give the family what it needs and wants. How wealthy am I really? Everyone has to answer this question for themselves!
What defines my wealth?
Once you have settled how you define your own wealth, you can now work toward it. If you place great value on luxurious material things, an expensive car, for example, can boost your wealth. Being up to date can also show society how wealthy you are. The newest car, the newest smartphones or a new house on a remote island: not just anyone can afford these luxury items. By comparison, freedom and the decisions you can make do not require much. Wealth looks different for everyone and can be reached in different ways. For one person it takes a lifetime, for others only a few days. Wealth cannot be defined in general terms. So how long it takes or what exactly is needed cannot be said. There is no instruction manual for it! How wealthy am I can only be answered by yourself.

The question: who defines my wealth?
How wealthy am I? What is wealth, or who says I am wealthy? The question is not all that easy to answer. As already mentioned, you should first define your own wealth and then achieve it. But the media and society convey the "right" values of wealth, and the aspect of personal wealth gets lost in most cases or is not considered at all. Take an interview with a celebrity who talks about his wealth and explains how he actually made it. Most listeners wish to be just like him and want to reach that wealth too. What does someone look like who defines their personal wealth as freedom? They would feel wrong about it and, on top of that, want to work more to earn a lot of money. Where has the freedom gone if this person has to force themselves because the media and society tell them to? How wealthy am I? Nobody can really answer that, and it should be decided personally. As long as it harms no one and the wealth makes you happy, nobody can say anything about it.
